We're introducing Private Meetings — a simple way to keep interview details confidential by marking scheduled interviews as private on participants' calendars.
When enabled, the meeting will appear as a private event for the meeting host and all invited interview participants, helping protect sensitive hiring information from anyone else who has access to their calendars.
What are Private Meetings?
Private Meetings allow organizations to schedule interviews without exposing meeting details to other users who may have permission to view participants' calendars.
When the Private Meeting option is enabled:
- The meeting is created as a private calendar event.
- Meeting details are hidden from anyone who is not an invited participant.
- Only invited attendees can view the interview information.
This helps ensure that confidential recruitment activities remain private.
Why Use Private Meetings?
Private Meetings are particularly valuable when interview confidentiality is important.
Common scenarios include:
- Internal hiring processes
- Confidential or replacement hiring
- Executive or leadership recruitment
- Sensitive business initiatives
- Any interview process where candidate anonymity should be maintained
By hiding interview details from shared calendars, organizations can protect both candidate privacy and internal hiring plans.
How to Enable Private Meetings
Private Meetings can be enabled when configuring a meeting.
Simply turn on the Private Meeting checkbox within the "calendar invite" field in the scheduling form before saving or creating a meeting.
Once enabled, every meeting created through that scheduling configuration will be marked as a private event on participants' calendars.
This setting can be used for:
- Individual meetings
- Group interviews
- Ad hoc scheduling
- Scheduling automations
- Meeting templates
Calendar Behavior
When a Private Meeting is scheduled:
- The meeting appears as a private event on the calendars of the meeting host and all invited participants.
- Users with permission to view another employee's calendar will see that time is blocked, but they will not be able to view the meeting's subject, attendees, location, or other interview details.
- Invited participants retain full access to the meeting information.
This behavior helps maintain confidentiality while still preventing scheduling conflicts.
