Separated invitations (or smart invites) allow you to anonymize participant information between candidates and interviewers and personalize the invitations so that each party only sees messages and documents that are relevant for them.
This feature functions differently for individual and group interviews:
Individual Interviews
If separated invites is turned on (by default it's off), then candidates and interviewers (host included) will receive the personalized messages and attachments that have written for them by the TA. This means that candidates can receive a business case, and the host and interviewers can receive the interview questions. The candidate's confirmation message will be their calendar invite instead of being a message they receive on Email/SMS/Whatsapp, which means they will be able to reschedule and cancels from the calendar invite.
If turned off, then both candidates and interviewers receive the same exact calendar invite message and attached documents
The benefits here is that:
- TAs can personalize the messages to each persona, and ensure each party only receives what they should receive. It also crates anonymity between the candidate and the hiring manager in the hiring manager doesn't want the candidate to know their email and reach out to them.
- The candidate will be able to reschedule or cancel directly from the calendar invite instead of finding their confirmation message.
Group interviews:
By default, separated invites is turned on and can't be turned off. This is because we anonymize the candidates between each other since they are all interviewing together.
