Sometimes, circumstances change and you may need to update the hiring manager responsible for an automated scheduling stage. This ensures that the right person is notified to approve candidate availability, keeping the interview process smooth and efficient. You can either follow the steps below or watch the accompanying video to see the process in action.
Here’s how to update the hiring manager for an automated stage:
Access the Jobs Tab: Start by clicking the "Jobs" tab in your dashboard to view all active and upcoming positions.
Locate Your Job: Scroll through the list to find the job you want to update. If it’s not visible, use the search bar to quickly locate it.
Find the Automated Stage: Identify the automated scheduling stage that requires a new hiring manager. Click the three-dot menu next to the stage to access additional options.
Disable "Requires Setup Only": Click the toggle for "requires set up only" so it turns off (no longer blue). This allows you to make edits to the automation.
Edit the Automation: Find the specific automation you want to adjust and click "Edit" to open the configuration screen.
Open the Scheduling Form: Click the gear icon to open the scheduling form, where you can assign hosts and customize details for this stage.
Update the Hiring Manager: Select the new hiring manager as the host for this stage. This person will receive notifications each time candidates move into this stage. Click "Update" to save the change.
Finalize Changes: On the automation screen, click "Update" to confirm your changes, then click "Save" to ensure the updates are applied.
From now on, whenever candidates progress to this automated stage, the newly assigned hiring manager will be automatically notified to approve their availability. This process helps maintain accuracy in scheduling, prevents confusion, and ensures candidates are always interacting with the correct interviewer.
Tip: Double-check the selected hiring manager’s calendar and availability before finalizing changes to avoid conflicts or missed notifications.
